Gulmohar is scientifically known as Delonix regia falls under the family fabaceae. It is native to Madagascar but is now cultivated globally in tropical and subtropical regions. It was introduced to places like India in the 19th century through networks like the British Empire. The tree is popular for its vibrant orange-red flowers and is often used as an ornamental, avenue, or shade tree.
